Engagement Manager (Chief of Staff)

Company Overview

We are supporting a rapidly expanding boutique consulting firm that partners with clients to deliver strategic insight and innovative solutions. Their work goes beyond strategy development — they embed with clients to lead implementation, ensuring tangible, real-world impact.

With ~30 full-time consulting staff in the US, and a broader contractor network bringing total headcount to 75–100 employees, the firm offers a wide breadth ofproject exposure, spanning drug discovery, clinical operations, supply chain, procurement & manufacturing, and commercial launch excellence.

This is not a traditional strategy consulting role. Consultants typically spend 4–8 weeks defining the strategic direction, before embedding with clients for up to 18 months as an in-house Chief of Staff — driving execution and ensuring delivery across all stages of the product lifecycle.

The firm partners with a range of Life Sciences organisations, from small, single-asset biotech companies to global pharmaceutical leaders.

Role Requirements

• Extensive experience managing complex consultingengagements, particularly within the life sciences sector
• Ability to provide strategic leadership andconnect high-level business goals with practical, impactful execution
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,with the ability to develop data-driven solutions that address core challenges
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability tothrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineeringdiscipline; MBA preferred.
